I'm not a huge fan of most red wine, and I've never even tried a sparkling red, so I approached this with a bit of trepidation. After the first sip any fears were gone and we all thoroughly enjoyed it - after finishing the bottle I've been asked to buy another, so it must have gone down well!

My favourite wine
A sparkling red? Surely that's not going to be good? How wrong was I? I've recommended this wine to family and friends. Now every time I order some for myself, I always have to add another couple of bottles for them, as most of them love it. Not the cheapest wine, but for depth of flavour, it's a bargain. I've tried other sparkling reds, from Laithwaites and other retailers, but none have come close to this. Don't think it's going to be a nice light summertime sparkler, as you'll be disappointed. It's full of flavour and tastes great cold or at room temp. I'd say slightly chilled is best, but I personally think it loses some flavour when too cold.
where to start, this wine is of a quality that belies its price. I couldn't believe at first that a Shiraz you put in the fridge could taste so good, but boy does it deliver. My only problem now however is all the family have started drinking it.
